25-35 was offered by Sedgley in the 1903 however, I have never seen one for sale. Not sure why they offered a 1903 Springfield in the 25-35 caliber? Love the Sedgley rifles they fit me very well. Thought it was an interesting combination. I have one coming in on a 1903 Springfield action. Those are both spectacular rifles and both beg to be hunted. I will try to take a Whitetail next season with it, I doubt it has ever been on a hunt.īeautiful rifles in great calibers. I failed to take a picture of my last target at 100 yards, but a modern factory rifle would have been proud to do as well. I had to seat the bullets just lower than the crimp groove because the throat is just a tad too short to seat in the crimp groove. Settled on a load of 25.0 grains of IMR 4895. I loaded 117 grain Hornady round nose bullets and they feed smooth as glass. Was able to leave the receiver sight on as well.just had to take the eye piece off and stow it in a small hole under the butt plate. I found a pristine late 30's Unertl scope for it and it looks correct now. Shoulda bought it!Īs a matter of fact, I did. I remember seeing a Sedgley for sale here in Aus, wasnt a fancy one but i liked it.

If you carry a cat home by the tail you will receive information valuable to you for the rest of your life. When my brother passed away, I gave his Sedgley Springfield 30'06 to a mutual friend who has since taken two Elk with it - open sights. "In the Texas Oilfield, everything that does not kill me today, gets another chance tomorrow." The catalog pages are from Sedgley's 1932 Catalog. Both are in superb condition with the Krag looking like it came off the bench in Philly just this week. I am now the custodian and caretaker of two really nice Sedgley Sporters from the 1930s. ***ĭouble Rifles, Single Shots & Combinations
